   I got this tuner for my ukulele. I really just couldn’t figure out the ukulele setting (kept giving me the wrong string numbers), and the instructions didn’t help much, so I tuned to the string names, G, C, E, and A. That was much easier than going by the number of the string.

   As long as I keep the tuner on the chromatic (letter) setting, I have no trouble. There are a couple of functions that aren’t fully explained and that I’m too new to music to understand on my own, but I’m able to tune my ukulele just fine with this little tuner without those functions.

   I managed to tune my A string to the wrong A, and an online tuner the first time out helped me fix that problem. Since then, it’s been easy peasy.

   I was worried about size, since my soprano uke is teensy, and the bag for my accessories is small, too. The tuner, without clip, is smaller than my palm. Nice and tiny. The swivel on the clip makes it super easy to turn the little screen so that I can see what I’m doing while I tune and make the tuner fit in my bag when I’m done.
