Wireless 802.11B/G USB Adapter Wifi with Wps Wep Wpa WPA2 Support

At the time I purchased the Zoom 4501 (see my review) to create a home WiFi environment for my laptop and netbook, I also purchased the Zoom Wireless 802.11B/G USB Adapter. My reasoning was that items from the same manufacturer would be most compatible with one another. They are.
Installation is a snap and the adapter works plugged straight into the back of the desktop unit without an extension cable to enhance performance. The router and adapter are on separate floors with several walls between them. No problems.
I probably owe it to Zoom to read the instructions a little more carefully before making this critical comment, but I haven’t. My criticism is that the software is always on and active. If I turn it off, it come back on. This isn’t really a bad deal; it’s just that I like to have a little more control over my environment.
But, nit-picking aside, the adapter works and so does the USB modem router. I can’t ask for more than that.
